Congratulations to Martin Grothkopp, pusher in the four-man bob team of Francesco Friedrich, on the world championship gold in Altenberg on 01 March 2020. In a breath-taking finale the Saxons finished a mere five hundredths of a second ahead of Johannes Lochner after four runs. 3rd place went to the team of Nico Walther, which was tied in 1st place with team Friedrich after 3 runs. With the third world championship victory in a row, Olympic champion Friedrich can now also call himself the record world champion.
