Technology from Chemnitz meets local expertise in India: CAC ENGINEERING GMBH and TRICHEMIE PLANT ENGINEERING SOLUTIONS PVT LTD (TPES) have signed a strategic cooperation agreement. Together, the companies aim to develop new business opportunities and expand their activities, with a particular focus on India, the GCC countries and African markets.

CAC Engineering and TPES enter into strategic cooperation

The partnership combines CAC’s technological expertise and international engineering experience with TPES’s local market knowledge and engineering capabilities. CAC contributes proprietary technologies, comprehensive process know-how and decades of experience in international plant engineering. TPES complements these strengths with customer access, in-depth knowledge of local markets and multidisciplinary engineering resources on the ground.

The cooperation will focus on four key technology areas:

  • Chlor-alkali technologies
  • Power-to-X and synthetic fuels based on CAC MethaFuel® and CAC MethaJet®
  • Technologies for the chemical industry
  • Gas cleaning technologies

The aim of the cooperation is to jointly identify new business opportunities, develop customer relationships and turn these opportunities into concrete projects. Depending on the individual project, TPES may contribute to detail engineering, procurement and local construction support.

By combining CAC’s proprietary technologies and process expertise with local engineering capabilities, the partnership will enable projects to be delivered closer to the respective markets while providing more competitive solutions, particularly in price-sensitive international markets.

India as a strategic growth market

The cooperation comes at a time of strengthening economic ties between Europe and India. Negotiations on the EU-India Free Trade Agreement were concluded in January 2026. Following the remaining procedures on both the European and Indian sides, the agreement is expected to facilitate market access and reduce trade barriers.

For CAC, the cooperation with TPES represents more than simply entering new markets. It creates the conditions needed to translate CAC’s technologies into concrete projects together with a strong local partner and to further strengthen the company’s international market position.

Through this strategic cooperation, CAC and TPES aim to combine their respective strengths over the long term and jointly develop new projects in India, the GCC countries and Africa.
